Let yourself be enchanted by the romantic ambience in the monastery courtyard and get in the mood for Christmas in a cozy atmosphere. On the second and third weekend of Advent, the Christmas market transforms the baroque St. Mang's monastery courtyard in the old town into a wintery marketplace. Visitors can browse for gifts, Christmas tree decorations or handmade items, look over the shoulders of artisans and taste mulled wine, punch and more in the glittering lights of the market houses, some of which are modeled on the facades of Füssen's old town. Admission to the market is free!

The Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein, located opposite Neuschwanstein Castle on the shores of Lake Forggensee in Füssen, brings one of the most successful German Christmas musicals to the stage during the "dull season". "The Ghost of Christmas", based on the Christmas story "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, is a musical for the whole family and is full of magic and contemplation about the miserly pawnbroker Ebenezer Scrooge, who receives a strange visit on Christmas Eve.
